Meet JoAnn

Four decades of healing hands — and a deep understanding of the whole person.

JOANN BARTOS, LMT BCTMB - Massage Therapy

My love for healing began at an early age. My great grandmother was an herbal and energy healer in Mississippi and her passion greatly influenced my life’s work.

I have been working in the field of Massotherapy for 40 years and am an LMT (licensed massage therapist) and am certified through NCBTMB ( National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork). I have studied a variety of techniques beyond licensure requirements including an additional year of training in Structural Energetic Therapy (Structural Integration) in Florida, time at the Myopractic Institute in Texas and studied at the Beijing Massage Hospital in China where I was taught Chinese medicine manipulation and meridians as well as acupressure and acupuncture.

These practices help my clients experience benefits such as lower anxiety levels, increased blood supply to nurture the muscles and tissues, as well as improved muscle tone and increased elimination of toxic debris. Myopractic therapy also helps prevent or delay muscular atrophy (wasting) from forced inactivity.

I am devoted to serving the physical needs of others and working to improve the quality of their lives. My years of work and study have given me a deep understanding of the human body, as well as an understanding of energy pathways (chakras). With my training and care for my clients I work to support the whole person, helping to restore muscles to their optimal and original state and improve mental clarity with a reduction of stress.

I am committed to sharing the benefits of cell rejuvenation, muscle repair and toxin elimination with my current and future clients.
